The global elite are currently engaged in a major damage-control effort following the release of the so-called “Epstein Files,” a large collection of documents, images and videos reportedly detailing the network of the late convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The disclosure was authorised by the US Department of Justice after the Epstein Files Transparency Act passed in November 2025 with a near-unanimous 427–1 vote.

Following the release, several high-profile figures have issued public apologies, denials and statements of regret as scrutiny surrounding past associations continues to intensify.
