Abdul Basit Badsha, a young social worker living in the UK, has expressed his desire to contest for the post of mayor in the upcoming Bishwanath Municipality election with the determination to modernize the traditional town of Bishwanath and build a model municipality. Although he has been living abroad for a long time, he is preparing to participate in the election with the determination to work for the welfare of the people of his area.

It is known that Abdul Basit Badsha has stood by the people of the area in their joys and sorrows since his student days. He is interested in participating in the election for the post of mayor of Bishwanath Municipality with the aim of leaving the comfortable life in the UK and dedicating himself to serving the people of his homeland. It is also known that he is being encouraged to participate in the election by local residents, relatives and people of different classes and professions.

This young leader, who is active in political and social activities, is currently serving as the deputy general secretary of the UK BNP. Earlier, he served as the general secretary of the UK Jubo Dal, former vice-president of the Bishwanath Upazila Chhatra Dal, and joint convener of the UK Chhatra Dal.

Apart from politics, he is also actively involved in sports and social activities. He is currently working as the General Secretary of the Bishwanath Sporting Trust UK to develop the Bishwanath sports grounds.

He is also the founder of the ‘Abdul Basit Badsha Football Gold Cup’. He is also the Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Londonbdnews24.com.
