Kuwait has further eased its visa process for Bangladeshis. Bangladeshis can now obtain Kuwaiti visas without requiring special permission (Lamna). The information was recently shared at a press conference by Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Syed Tarek Hossain.

Embassy sources said the reopening of Kuwait’s labour market to Bangladesh has created new employment opportunities. In this context, following a safe migration process and proper procedures remains essential.

The ambassador said that although there has been no formal announcement, Bangladeshis have been receiving Kuwaiti visas without Lamna for about a week. However, he urged everyone to remain vigilant against visa-related fraud.

Also present at the press conference were Embassy Counsellor Moniruzzaman, the President and General Secretary of the Kuwait Press Club, and other distinguished guests.

The ambassador stated that for visas authenticated by the embassy, agreements are in place with recruiting companies to ensure proper arrangements for Bangladeshi workers, including wages, accommodation, medical care and leave facilities upon arrival in Kuwait.

He advised applicants to avoid going abroad through middlemen and instead follow embassy-approved procedures. According to him, following legal channels helps prevent fraud and ensures safer working conditions abroad.

Key considerations for visa applicants include following the Kuwaiti embassy’s official procedures, avoiding brokers, verifying contract details with recruiting companies, and ensuring clarity regarding salary, accommodation and other employment benefits.
